Back in '99, we scored what felt like the big league project for us. Nickelodeon was launching a new channel, GAS (Games and Sports for Kids), and they picked us for the job. At the time, it was a major deal, a real high-profile gig. But when I look back at what we actually built, it's kind of mind-blowing how simple it all was. We were still in an era where websites were pretty basic, not doing a whole lot.

I think we eventually spiced up the homepage with Flash to give it some pizzazz, but that wouldn't have been part of the original 1999 launch. Back then, it was all about getting the basics right, and everything was pretty basic.

I mean, this above image is the Weekly Challenge page. Essentially a poll. Three spaces for text… and if the text got too long on any of those space, the art probably broke.

Pages that actually had content were largely just wrappers with a space where you could drop a post. No archive that I am aware of.
