Jupiter Swirl is inspired by the amazing images of Jupiter’s south pole returned by the Juno mission. Giclée prints are produced on archival Red River Satin White with ConeColor inks. Sizes options are as noted in the pull down.

Some of our favorite planets are moons. The moon featured here is Io. Moon of the Jupiter system. The most actively volcanic body in our solar system, and extensively explored by both Voyagers and the Galileo spacecraft. It is also 20% larger than Pluto. In only three and a half months, Pioneer became the very first mission to enter the Asteroid Belt to explore the outer solar system. Juno is the first mission to go into a polar orbit around Jupiter. Voyager 2 holds the record for most celestial bodies observed in a single mission having flown by four planetary systems. Then of course Voyager 1 also became the first man-made interstellar object with Voyager 2 expected to do the same in 2016. This mission has been staggeringly successful at Saturn having been inserted into orbit in 2004 and still actively doing science 10 years later. This mission was also a two-in-one as it carried and deployed the Huygens Probe in 2005, becoming the first ever surface landing in the outer solar system when it touched down upon the surface of Saturn’s moon Titan. Mars Science features newest generation of robotic Martian surface rovers. Curiosity arrived in 2012 with Perseverance following in 2021 (and Ingenuity too!). Their search for past and present life on the Martian surface make them more like mobile laboratories than mere robot explorers. Edition #1 was Curiosity and was sold out in 2020.

NASA's Mars Exploration Rovers (MER) are an ongoing robotic space mission involving two rovers, Spirit and Opportunity, exploring the planet Mars. The missions began in 2004 with the arrival of the two rovers-Spirit and Opportunity-on the Martian surface. It continues to this day with Opportunity still in operation over a decade later. The first mission of human exploration on the surface of the Moon. Neil Armstrong became the first to step onto the lunar surface on July 21 at 02:56:15 UTC; Buzz Aldrin joined him about 20 minutes later. They both spent just under a day before rendezvousing with Michael Collins piloting the command module in lunar orbit and returning to Earth. New Horizons completes our image of the known planetary bodies when first we emerged from our celestial crib.
