The Planetary Society is hosting an impressive gathering for the eclipse dubbed Eclipse-O-Rama. The event’s official poster showcases Fredericksburg as a prime spot for viewing the eclipse's totality in the USA, symbolically marked with a Blue Bonnet flower.

Having successfully completed test flight of LightSail™ in June of 2015, the Society is has completed the execution of a fully-fledged demonstration of solar sailing with LightSail 2. The mission was deorbited on Nov 17, 2022 after 3.5 years in orbit.

The James Webb Space Telescope is a time machine that can see back nearly to the point of creation itself, 13.5 billion years ago. The design boasts this fact in a text burst and includes a timeline starting at the upper left with the Big Bang, red-shifting its way through the dark age and across the print (above). The stars and galaxies begin to more fully populate the page until you see the universe as it is today at the lower right. The limit of JWST’s limit is tagged in yellow just after “First Stars”. Citizen Science is collaborative research between amateur and professional scientists who share a common goal. Most citizen scientists are everyday people, who are curious about science and want to collaborate with others. It’s a low-profile, unstructured, six-panel cap made from lightweight acrylic with a pre-curved visor. Color is Dark Grey with the Citizen Science brand on front and SCIENCE KNOWS NO BORDERS on back. The self-fabric strap includes a tri-glide buckle with silver finish.

Mars Science features newest generation of robotic Martian surface rovers. Curiosity arrived in 2012 with Perseverance following in 2021 (and Ingenuity too!). Their search for past and present life on the Martian surface make them more like mobile laboratories than mere robot explorers. In only three and a half months, Pioneer became the very first mission to enter the Asteroid Belt to explore the outer solar system. The Allen Telescope Array is an instrument dedicated to the search for extra-terrestrial signals. This mission has been staggeringly successful at Saturn having been inserted into orbit in 2004 and still actively doing science 10 years later. This mission was also a two-in-one as it carried and deployed the Huygens Probe in 2005, becoming the first ever surface landing in the outer solar system when it touched down upon the surface of Saturn’s moon Titan. It is impossible to capture the effect that the Apollo Program had on our collective psyche and on the arc of worldwide technological progress in one image. But wear this tee and at least people will know you appreciate it.

NASA's Mars Exploration Rovers (MER) are an ongoing robotic space mission involving two rovers, Spirit and Opportunity, exploring the planet Mars. The missions began in 2004 with the arrival of the two rovers-Spirit and Opportunity-on the Martian surface. It continues to this day with Opportunity still in operation over a decade later. Launched on March 16, 1926, in Auburn, Massachusetts, "Nell" was the world's first liquid-fueled rocket, developed by Dr. Robert H. Goddard. The flight lasted 2.5 seconds, reaching a height of 41 feet and traveling 184 feet, proving the viability of liquid propulsion.
