Collection: Space Exploration Themed

Enough about Curiosity, Perseverance, helicopters, and all these rovers. Viking was first to successfully land on Mars in 1976! Many thanks to Tom Dahl for modeling the accurate landing configuration.

As the Cold War was ending and the Soviet Union collapsed, Louis Friedman traveled to Russia more than 50 times. Between 1984 and 2005, he worked to advance international space cooperation to explore Mars and other worlds in our solar system. In this book, he recounts his personal stories from those adventures in Russia. Among them are observing a Submarine Launched Ballistic Mission on a Russian Navy ship in the Barents Sea, and testing Mars Rover prototypes on volcanic mountains in Kamchatka. He chronicles the times he travelled to the secret Soviet nuclear laboratory in Chelyabinsk-70 with Edward Teller, the inventor of the hydrogen bomb and he flew in hot air balloons on a Soviet airfield in Lithuania. These adventures were undertaken to advance the idea of the United States and Russia leading a world effort to explore Mars together. Included is a Chapter and Appendices on the politics, history and challenges of international cooperation for human exploration of Mars.

The James Webb Space Telescope is only at the beginning of what it is going to reveal over the coming decades. Seeing nearly all the way back to the Big Bang.

The tee features three space telescopes that have found or are currently finding planets around other stars, including Kepler, TESS, and Spitzer.

All copies, final sale. There are no planned future runs for this design. Having successfully completed test flight of LightSail™ in June of 2015, the Society is has completed the execution of a fully-fledged demonstration of solar sailing with LightSail 2. The mission was deorbited on Nov 17, 2022 after 3.5 years in orbit.

The official t-shirt of Explore Mars, Inc.’s annual conference, the 2023 Humans to Mars Summit (H2M) that will take place on May 16-18, 2023 at the National Academy of Sciences Building in Washington, D.C. This event is already shaping up to be the largest H2M yet. Phases of Exploration illustrates the growing consensus that humanity needs to get back to the moon, using that as a stepping stone to continue onward to Mars.

Sputnik was the first artificial Earth satellite. It was a 58 cm (23 in) diameter polished metal sphere, with four external radio antennas to broadcast radio pulses. Launched by the Soviet Union in 1957. See the original poster.

From Viking to Sojourner, the Mars Exploration Rovers, and Percy/Curiosity—each mission has pushed the frontier of Martin science, landing, roving, and now sampling the Red Planet for a future crewed mission. Mug is dishwasher and microwave safe, 10oz / 284ml ceramic. Art shows one design. It is two missions on one side and two on the other. Not two seperate designs.

23 historic missions of various nations that traveled beyond Earth to explore our solar system. The missions are loosely arranged according to their most notable destinations. Also see the original t-shirt here!  Screen print is two-color printed on 18x24" French black 80lb (pic 3 & 4). Glicée is multicolored and Epson digital on archival Red River Satin (pic 1 & 2). Your final trim size will appear with a white border on a larger print sheet. Note: The screen print includes no title and features missions pre-2012.

Voyager 2 holds the record for most celestial bodies observed in a single mission having flown by four planetary systems. Then of course Voyager 1 also became the first man-made interstellar object with Voyager 2 in 2016. Mug is dishwasher and microwave safe, 10oz / 284ml ceramic. Art shows one design. It is blue on one side and orange on the other. Not two seperate designs.

Limited edition Huygen on Titan enameled pin based on our Historic Robotics Spacecraft Series. Double rubber pin backing. Measures about 1.75" wide.

Brand ID for the Planetary Society. Pin is traditional latch 2.25 x 2.25" circular.

This best selling t-shirt now includes both the Curiosity and Perseverance rovers with the Ingenuity helicopter as a bonus! They are the newest generation of robotic Martian surface rovers. Curiosity arrived in 2012 with Perseverance following in 2021. Their search for past and present life on the Martian surface make them more like mobile laboratories than merely explorers.

NOTE: The mug is not the style shown. It is a more standard sized coffee diner mug. Images are coming soon. The Icarus Interstellar Brand ID Mug will properly manage beverages such as coffee, tea, soda, water, etc. It may perform in situations well beyond just being a terrific mug and conveniently holding beverages, but only you can push that envelope.

Stock is low. Will be re-ordering in January. Launched in 1990, Hubble Space Telescope has been a workhorse for observing the overall cosmos and was the first orbiting telescope of its class. Even making itself available to observe dramatic changes in our own solar system with events that would have otherwise gone unnoticed.

65 million years ago a 100 million Megaton city-sized asteroid hit what is now Mexico. That impact led to the extinction of 70% of all species on Earth and the extinction of the ancient dinosaurs. Remember Chicxulub! Originally created for The Planetary Society’s 2018 Kick Asteroid Campaign. Comes in women relaxed or slim fit. You could consider the slim fits as stand-ins for women’s XXS, XS.

An impact that devastated a 2000 square kilometer region produced zero human casualties. That is the luck of Tunguska! Originally created for The Planetary Society’s 2018 Kick Asteroid Campaign. Sticker is vinyl and measures 3.5" tall. Good for indoor or outdoor use.

Each week, Planetary Radio's Sarah Al-Ahmed visits with scientists, engineers, mission leaders, astronauts, advocates, and writers who provide their unique and exciting perspectives on the exploration of our universe. Stickers are 3" square and vinyl. Ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.

In only three and a half months, Pioneer became the very first mission to enter the Asteroid Belt to explore the outer solar system. A precursor to the Voyager mission, complete with its own version of an interplanetary message… The mission will soon celebrate its 50th anniversary since its launch in 1972.

Unparalleled views of the universe directly through your eyepiece. Prepare to be amazed. Sticker is 3"3" square and ideal for indoor or outdoor use.
