In March of 2008 we released our celebrity robots tee as a distraction from our usual projects. Including robots from all walks of life including film, television, video games, comics, cartoons, a toy and even a few from rock history. This became Chop Shop’s first real success and to celebrate this anniversary we have added another 30 icons to the design for a total of 94!  The best part? This version includes a key! Silkscreen is 12"x18" and printed in three colors. Giclée print is Epson digital on archival Red River Polar White.

Giant Leaps featuring the historic missions of human spaceflight is the third in our series of space exploration prints. The missions selected include Apollo 11, The International Space Station and Vostok 1. Screen prints are all from a limited edition series. Digital prints are Epson printed on archival Red River Pearl White. The screen prints are sold out for now. Giclée prints are archival quality with Epson inks. Sizes are as noted in the pull down. All include an added white border, but the 42"x24" measurement includes a half inch white border.

Some of the greatest advancements in space exploration have occurred in Pasadena like Explorer 1, the first successfully launched U.S. space probe and science mission. The city’s renowned aerospace institutions have also pioneered missions such as Cassini, Voyager, and the Mars Curiosity Rover. This design was created for the new Planetary Society membership t-shirt. Based on our drawings for Planetary Blocks, arranged according to location but translated graphically to three colors. Screen prints are running low! The first human spaceflight in history. Vostok 1 was launched on April 12, 1961 from Baikonur Cosmodrome with Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, making him the first human to cross into outer space. It was also an orbital spaceflight consisting of a single orbit and took 108 minutes from launch to landing. Screen print measures 36"x18" printed in 3 colors by Vahalla Studios. LightSail® is the first all-science citizen-funded space mission in history! Testing the concept of solar sailing technology deployed with a CubeSat which Carl Sagan first promoted during an appearance on The Tonight Show in 1976.  NOTE: The screen printed editions were exclusive to the Planetary Society Kickstarter in 2015. There are no plans for reprints but the giclée versions are printed archival with ConeColor Ink on Red River papers and will be available indefinitely.

With only so much room on our Planetary Blocks, we were excited to also produce a foldout supplemental poster to expand on the research and data we used to create the set. It expands on the scale and distance sides of the blocks as well as providing a ton more of new information from ice volcanoes to subsurface oceans all the way out to Planet Nine!
