With only so much room on our Planetary Blocks, we were excited to also produce a foldout supplemental poster to expand on the research and data we used to create the set. It expands on the scale and distance sides of the blocks as well as providing a ton more of new information from ice volcanoes to subsurface oceans all the way out to Planet Nine! Choose from Light Grey, Inverted Black or Stark White. Digital print is 16"x24" on Red River archival paper using Epson inks.

All copies, final sale. There are no planned future runs for this design. Having successfully completed test flight of LightSail™ in June of 2015, the Society is has completed the execution of a fully-fledged demonstration of solar sailing with LightSail 2. The mission was deorbited on Nov 17, 2022 after 3.5 years in orbit.

The Planetary Society’s LightSail CubeSat was launched on May 20, 2015, and after a few days  successfully deployed its solar sails. As soon as early 2019, LightSail 2 will launch aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy, and we will attempt the first, controlled solar sail flight in Earth orbit. Sticker is vinyl and measures 3.42" x 3". Understanding the larger universe and the many other kinds of worlds that exist within it, is how we can better understand our own home. In a Venn Diagram, The Planetary Society is where space exploration and the study of our fragile planet Earth would overlap. Size is 3"x1.75".

Every Mission Counts was created for Planetary Society’s space policy and advocacy “Day of Action” in Washington DC. Their larger mission is to defend the planet from asteroid impcts, to explore other worlds with humans and robots, and to discover life in the universe. Print is Epson digital on archival Red River Polar White. Your final trim size will appear with a white border on a larger print sheet (13X19" and 17x22").

LightSail® is the first all-science citizen-funded space mission in history! Testing the concept of solar sailing technology deployed with a CubeSat which Carl Sagan first promoted during an appearance on The Tonight Show in 1976.  NOTE: The screen printed editions were exclusive to the Planetary Society Kickstarter in 2015. There are no plans for reprints but the giclée versions are printed archival with ConeColor Ink on Red River papers and will be available indefinitely.
