These are songs that were written explicitly for The Chopping Block and Chop Shop around 2003 by They Might Be Giants, not previously available anywhere. The EP includes the two official themes for The Chopping Block, “Oranges and Graphic Design” and “Robot Design” the latter being the precursor to the kid’s song “Robot Parade”. Also included are the Chop Shop themes “I Got My T-shirt Back” and a largely misunderstood theme titled “Prisoners of Graphic Design”. As a bonus for purchasing the full EP is an upbeat alternate version of “Oranges”, instrumental versions of each “Orange” theme and a somewhat fantastical Testimonial for The Chopping Block by John Flansburgh. A giant collection of 113 celebrated fictional starships. The armada begins with the smaller crafts running along the front bottom (ie: X-Wing, Tardis, Colonial Viper, etc) and concludes along to the top front with the larger colony ships and battle cruisers (ie: Enterprise, Valley Forge, Borg, etc).  But that is not all! On the back the armada takes a turn with mid-sized starships graduating to the larger as they get more distant with that’s no moon set in the distance. Now nerds… please don’t get crazy on us. This is not totally accurate in terms of increasing size. The interlocking design would never allow for that level of accuracy.
